NZ Fisheries Electronic Catch and Position Reporting (Iridium based)

The MI (Marine Instruments) Marine Sat Receiver (MSR-2) is a satellite system for NZ Fisheries Electronic Catch and Position Reporting, with Global coverage. The technology is especially designed for the management of high volume of data and avoid high communication costs when sending/receiving fishing data - making it the most cost effective fully-satellite fisheries reporting tool (lower airtime tarrifs then competitors). The device incorporates spread-spectrum communication technology, making it very difficult to detect by third parties.

PIVOTEL tracertrac (Vessel Tracking)

The RockFLEET and RockSTAR devices provide a GPR solution that is ideal for day fishers who want an affordable, satellite-based option to meet the GPR requirements that are being introduced by Fisheries New Zealand.

RockFLEET by Pivotel is a fixed GPR solution that is ideal for day fishers who want an affordable installed satellite based solution to meet their GPRS obligations. VSAT (Ku-Band)

SAILOR and Sea Tel Ku-Band Marine VSAT systems feature high-performance 3-axis stabilised antennas for reliable, high bandwidth connectivity and flexible installation. They are designed to out-perform competing antennae and promise easier and quicker installation and configuration on a wider range of vessels.
We offer Ku-Band systems for standardised or customised VSAT and hybrid networks that are 'always-on' and offer fixed monthly data costs. They provide reliable connectivity for operations, passengers and crew, with fast response to the ship's motion to avoid signal loss and an intuitive web user interface accessible from any internet-enabled device.
This tough technology meets some of the most gruelling shock and vibration specifications. Some RF packages can be field-upgraded from Ku-Band to Ka-Band, to work on Inmarsat's Global Xpress network for greater flexibility and reach, while an integrated control unit provides single box electronics that maintain the best and most efficient pointing accuracy in the maritime market.

INMARSAT MINI-C

Proven 2-Way Marine Communications!
Inmarsat C provides two-way data and messaging communication services to and from virtually anywhere in the world. The low-cost terminals and antennas are small enough to be fitted to any size of ship.

Inmarsat C is a two-way store and forward communication system that transmits messages in data packets in ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship and ship-to-ship direction.
Inmarsat C comprises of a small omnidirectional antenna, compact transceiver (transmitter and receiver), messaging unit and, if GMDSS-compliant or with a distress function, a Dedicated Distress Button to activate a Distress Alert.
Inmarsat Mini C terminals are the smallest models available, with some incorporating the antenna and transceiver in the same above deck unit and, depending on the model, supporting the same communication services as Inmarsat C terminals.
To protect crew and vessels, modern Inmarsat C and Mini C terminals include an integrated Global Navigational Satellite Services (GNSS) receiver, providing automatic terminal position updates and reporting when a distress alert is initiated. The vessel’s position data (position, course and speed) is shared with reporting applications.
